(okay okay, it's the most awkward-to-look-at video ever.)

1.

A friend once asked me what I did in my spare time. I told him I modelled. He just stared at me for a moment and said “but your not even that good looking”.

I had to explain to him what CG, wireframes and texturing were. Eventually, I just told him I work on my computer a lot. His face brighten and he said “oh, your a hacker”. I just nodded and agreed at that point.

2.

i was working for a client who wanted me to make an intro for a show they were going to air the next friday. I throw something together and they look at it and say, “um, where are all the line thingies.” I looked at him blankly for a second until i realized he was talking about a wireframe. I explained to him that it was rendered, so you didnt see those. He looked back and said “oh, well i thought 3d meant it was a wireframe, can you do one of those?”

12 days of texturing, lighting, and rendering- and he didnt even want it rendered!!!!!

3.

we’re working on concepts for our own website and I’ve modelled/rendered some objects in 3D. We all sit down and discuss, and my Creative Director says “yeah ok those are good, lets have about 5 or 6 different ones and meet again tomorrow.

Me: “erm it takes 6-7 hours to model/texture one of these and you want 6 more tomorrow?”

CreativeDirector: “what’s the problem, don’t you just SCAN it in and MAKE it 3D?”

I am getting my fair share of these too. haha

Oh yeahhh!

If you looked ahead of you. Straight ahead of your life. What would you do, if you saw yesterday’s drama? Imminent. Ready to play itself again. Ready to crush you once again. What would you have done differently, from -that- which you had already tried and failed? Would you have done the same thing? Letting it slide and the problem snowball while history repeats itself. Or would you have stepped it up to make a difference? Show the world you have learnt, and that you have evolved, never making the same mistake twice. Or have you given up already.

I have successfully procrastinated for half a year.
Procrastinated..

On Assignments. On FYP. On Portfolio. On Friends. On Life. On Running.

I have excuses every single time. But yet I feel no guilt. Don’t get me wrong, haha, it is not like I don’t know its wrong to waste my life away. I guess I am just defeated, in trying to fight myself to work. Procrastination is in my blood. (is this an excuse to slack? god knows.)

Ohh, I am just always distracted.

Anyway, like I said, I procrastinated on running too. However today, I improved. feels good. Nike 10km race is coming next saturday thats why.. Still in very bad condition though. I wonder if I will be up to it by then though. damn I am still too weak.
