Frisbee.

The past few days has been a blast. A blast that gave me a whole new perspective to frisbee. Yea, the sport that I loved so much in secondary school. Apart from the rules and regulations, the style, the precision, formations, strategies, all of them were totally different in nyp ultimate frisbee.

The first session was quite tough. As freshies, the little canberra team we formed (me, jonathan, ridwan, wesley, gerald, vincent, and two year 2s) actually lost to another group of freshies. NOTE: They are freshies too.. Thus we can see how many pros there are out there.

And the gerald incident. You would have known if you have seen vincent’s blog. Haha. Gerald got scolded by Ben(the alumni coach) for performing the forehand throw that uses the thumb as the pivot instead of fingers. And he also got dared by Ben to challenge them. haha poor gerald. Guess Ben had many bad experiences with people doing strange stunts. In fact I can’t blame anyone for that to happen. Cause Gerald was only confident with that particular throw. And yet Ben didn’t know, so he probably treated that as someone trying to show off his skills. I seriously think that this gave Gerald lots of motivation to improve. lol. He kept saying that he have to become better after the incident.

Honestly, they are 1000 times better than canberrians. lol. We just had to admit it. Challenging them won’t be a wise choice.

The second session was more of introduction. So it was more relaxed. Well, they are quite a bunch of friendly guys.
